Strategy Notes
- The 30 Pop Fast Imp is a long-term investment strategy. It works best on closed maps where Feudal pressure cannot disrupt the passive economy.
- Weak against: Feudal or Castle Age aggression that reaches your base before walling is complete; any opponent who can apply sustained pressure.
- Strong against: Boom strategies that reach Imperial Age at the same time but with a weaker military; opponents who invest heavily in Castle Age units.
Options:
- Trebuchet + Paladin: Standard Imperial Age composition for civs with strong cavalry and siege.
- Bombard Cannon + Infantry: Effective for breaking down castle defenses; works for any civ with access to Bombard Cannons.
- Monks + Siege: Add Monks for conversion support alongside Mangonels/Trebuchets for a cost-effective all-in push.
Defense Tip: Seal all walls before Feudal Age ends. Build a few Spearmen at minimum in case Scouts pressure your economy early. Once Imperial Age lands, commit fully to a composition β hesitation at Imperial Age costs more than committing to the wrong units.
