How to Play Bulgarians
Ideal opening (Dark → Castle): Lean on the free Militia-line upgrades to throw down an early Men-at-Arms rush, then follow up quickly with a Barracks-supporting Range or Stable. As you reach Castle Age, plant a Krepost to keep pressure and contest map control while your military spills out faster than your opponent can match.
Ideal late-game composition: Field upgraded Hussar — supercharged by Stirrups — backed by Siege Onagers or Siege Rams, and round it out with Halberdiers to cover against enemy cavalry.
Deathball composition (closed maps / team games): Mass Konniks as the core, screen them with skirmisher-style Genitours and Halberdiers for trash protection, and add Trebuchets to crack down fortifications and grind out the push.
Recommended build: Men-at-Arms into Archers
